Pluralistic Counselling is a flexible approach that recognizes the unique needs of each individual. Similar to Integrative therapy, it draws on a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a personalized treatment plan. By combining elements from different approaches, we can tailor our work together to address your specific challenges and goals. This collaborative process empowers you to take an active role in your healing journey.
You are at the heart of our work together, and we will explore different methods to find what resonates best with you.
Polyvagal theory explains how your nervous system influences your emotions and well-being. Feeling safe and connected is essential for optimal mental health. However, stress can trigger a fight-or-flight or even a shutdown response. By understanding your nervous system's reactions, we can work together to restore balance and resilience.
Through Polyvagal-informed therapy, we focus on calming your nervous system and promoting a sense of safety. Experience reduced anxiety, improved relationships, and increased emotional regulation.
My training and style is to work with you to understand the challenges you face and help you find the solutions you are looking for. I want you to be able to manage and live a healthier life with good mental health. I am Pluralistically trained and Polyvagal informed, so this is the approach I will use with you. This means I have the skills to adapt to your individual needs and I work to the standards set out by The national Counselling & Psychotherapy Society found here
I offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and I'll work alongside you to help you find your way back to a balanced and fulfilling life. I believe that everyone has the potential to live a happy and fulfilling life, and I'm committed to helping you reach your full potential.
I offer a unified approach to counselling, which means that I work alongside you as a partner in your journey to self-discovery. I'll never tell you what to do, but I will offer support, guidance, and encouragement as you work to understand yourself better and make positive changes in your life.
You are the expert in you, I aim to work using the style and technique that you feel works best, from deciding on in person or online, indoors or outdoors. Person centred therapy based using Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Mindfulness or other modalities. My journey to becoming a counsellor began in a surprising place: the world of IT management. While I excelled in coaching and mentoring colleagues, I discovered a deep-seated passion for helping people on a more personal level.
Leaving the corporate world behind, I immersed myself in psychology and counselling studies. Qualifying as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in 2022 was a pivotal moment. My experience working at Northamptonshire Mind and volunteering, combined with my time as a Learning Support Assistant in a SEN school, provided invaluable insights into the human experience.
Today, with over two years in private practice, I offer a compassionate and holistic approach to therapy. By incorporating the Safe and Sound Protocol and my understanding of Polyvagal theory, I create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Whether you're grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply seeking personal growth.
I'm here to support you on your journey to healing and resilience..
