Pluralistic Counselling is a flexible approach that recognizes the unique needs of each individual. Similar to Integrative therapy, it draws on a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a personalized treatment plan. By combining elements from different approaches, we can tailor our work together to address your specific challenges and goals. This collaborative process empowers you to take an active role in your healing journey.
You are at the heart of our work together, and we will explore different methods to find what resonates best with you.
Polyvagal theory explains how your nervous system influences your emotions and well-being. Feeling safe and connected is essential for optimal mental health. However, stress can trigger a fight-or-flight or even a shutdown response. By understanding your nervous system's reactions, we can work together to restore balance and resilience.
Through Polyvagal-informed therapy, we focus on calming your nervous system and promoting a sense of safety. Experience reduced anxiety, improved relationships, and increased emotional regulation.
My goal is to help you achieve lasting mental health by understanding and overcoming the challenges you face. I am Pluralistically trained and Polyvagal-informed, which means I have a flexible, evidence-based approach tailored to your individual needs, all while upholding the high standards of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society.
In our safe and confidential sessions, we'll explore your experiences together. I believe in a unified approach where I work alongside you, offering guidance and support without dictating your path. You are the authority on your own experience, and my role is to help you uncover your inner resources and make positive changes.
To support your journey, I draw on a range of techniques to make sense of your emotions and promote nervous system regulation. This includes modalities like Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. Crucially, I can also integrate the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), a powerful tool designed to reset your nervous system and foster a deeper sense of safety and calm.

My journey to becoming a counsellor began in a surprising place: the world of IT management. While I excelled in coaching and mentoring colleagues, I discovered a deep-seated passion for helping people on a more personal level.
Leaving the corporate world behind, I immersed myself in psychology and counselling studies. Qualifying as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in 2022 was a pivotal moment. My experience working at Northamptonshire Mind and volunteering, combined with my time as a Learning Support Assistant in a SEN school, provided invaluable insights into the human experience.
Today, with over two years in private practice, I offer a compassionate and holistic approach to therapy. By incorporating the Safe and Sound Protocol and my understanding of Polyvagal theory, I create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Whether you're grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply seeking personal growth.
